バックグラウンド　Background

I was born and raised in Hanoi—the lively capital city of Vietnam. Growing up in a highly educated household, with my father working as an engineering expert and my mother as a law lecturer at one of Vietnam’s most prestigious law universities, I was encouraged to explore diverse fields of knowledge and strive to improve myself every day. Over time, I discovered a deep passion for learning about different cultures and how they interact with one another. I also developed a strong interest in research and writing, especially as a way to share insights with like-minded people. This passion led me to study abroad in Japan—an opportunity to become more independent, learn a third language (and hopefully many more in the future), and conduct research on human relationships, society, and culture.

私はベトナムの首都ハノイで生まれ育ちました。父は工学の専門家として、母はベトナムで最も有名な法科大学の講師として働き、私は高学歴の家庭に育ちました。やがて私は、異なる文化や、それらが互いにどのように影響し合っているかを学ぶことに深い情熱を感じるようになりました。また、特に同じ考えを持つ人々と見識を共有する方法として、研究や執筆に強い関心を抱くようになりました。この情熱が、より自立し、第三言語を学び（将来的にはさらに多くの言語を学び）、人間関係、社会、文化について研究する機会である日本への留学へと私を導いてくれました。

大学生としての自分　As a University Student 

I am currently a 3rd year student studying Japan-in-Asia Cultural Studies. In this major, I learn about the interdisciplinary study of film, history, and literature from Japan, and its relation to different countries in the world. My main research interests are Gender Studies, Feminism in the Social and Political Realm, Sexuality, and Gender Equality in an International Context. I am in an international student circle, an international dance circle, and a Model United Nations Organizing Team at my university. I am also working as a member of the Vietnamese Academics Network in Japan. It has been busy but very rewarding!

私は現在3年生で、アジアの中の日本文化研究を専攻しています。この専攻では、日本の映画、歴史、文学を学際的に研究し、世界各国との関係について学んでいます。主な研究テーマは、ジェンダー研究、社会的・政治的領域におけるフェミニズム、セクシュアリティ、国際的文脈におけるジェンダー平等です。大学では、留学生サークル、国際ダンスサークル、模擬国連組織チームに所属しています。また、在日ベトナム人アカデミック・ネットワークのメンバーとしても活動しています。忙しいですが、とても実り多い日々です！

インターンシップを始めたきっかけ　Motivation to start this internship

I love learning about global issues and cultural differences, and I believe tourism is a field that allows people to explore and understand these topics. That’s why I want to use my knowledge to contribute to creating meaningful and enjoyable travel experiences for others. Moreover, I have a strong interest in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and I hope the 4th Wave Internship will help me deepen my understanding of them.

私はグローバルな課題や文化の違いについて学ぶことが大好きで、観光はそれらを探求し理解する手助けとなる分野だと考えています。だからこそ、自分の知識を活かして、人々にとって意義深く楽しい旅行体験を提供することに貢献したいと思っています。さらに、私はSDGs（持続可能な開発目標）にも強い関心があり、4th Waveインターンシップを通じて、その理解を深められることを期待しています。

自分の興味・関心　My passion / interest

I love dancing as a hobby and have a strong interest in marketing and event organizing. Because of that, I’ve been involved in many related activities since high school. I also want to improve my research and writing skills in both Vietnamese and English. My goal is to become proficient in Japanese as well, so I can eventually conduct research in all three languages. These days, it seems like people are paying less attention to the social sciences, as technology continues to dominate. But I’m passionate about gaining a deep understanding of culture and contributing to helping others appreciate and respect the beauty of the arts and culture.

ダンスが趣味で、マーケティングやイベント企画にも強い関心があります。そのため、高校時代からこれらの分野に関わるさまざまな活動に取り組んできました。また、ベトナム語と英語でのリサーチや文章力をさらに高めたいと考えています。将来的には日本語も上達させて、三言語で研究できるようになることが目標です。最近では、テクノロジーの発展により人々の社会科学への関心が薄れているように感じますが、私は文化を深く理解し、人々が芸術や文化の美しさをより尊重し、理解できるよう貢献したいと考えています。

将来のビジョン　Future vision

I want to become a well-rounded and knowledgeable person, and I strive to keep learning every day. While some people may believe that once you finish school, it’s enough to simply have the basic skills needed for work, I believe learning should be a lifelong journey. I hope to continue exploring new topics, nurturing my curiosity, and expanding my horizons. In addition, I want to become a more confident and effective presenter, as I believe that being able to communicate ideas clearly is key to success. I also aim to manage my stress better so that I can grow both in my work and in my personal life.

私は知識が豊富でバランスの取れた人になりたいと思っており、毎日学び続けることを大切にしています。学校を卒業すれば、仕事に必要な基本的なスキルさえあれば十分だと考える人もいますが、私は学びは一生続くものだと信じています。これからもさまざまな分野に興味を持ち、好奇心を育てながら、自分の視野を広げていきたいです。さらに、自信を持って効果的にプレゼンテーションできる力も身につけたいです。自分の考えをうまく伝えることができる人こそ、アイデアを実現させる力を持つと信じているからです。そして、仕事とプライベートの両方でより良く成長していけるよう、ストレスの管理も上手になりたいと考えています。
