Background / 自己紹介 

Hello Everyone~ My name is Chun Ya Huang. I am a senior student at Kyushu University, Japan, pursuing studies in interdisciplinary science and innovation. Originally from Taiwan and spending much of my time in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, I have always been intrigued by how the interplay of culture and languages can change one’s world perspectives and how it shapes the way people think and feel. Growing up surrounded by people from diverse backgrounds is what prompted me to pursue education in Japan, to learn and adapt to a completely new culture, building upon my passion for intercultural communications and the new experiences that await me.

みなさん、こんにちは！黄 群雅（フワング・チュンヤー）と申します。現在、日本の九州大学で共創学部を専攻しています。台湾出身で、これまでの多くの時間をベトナム・ホーチミン市で過ごしてきました。文化や言語の違いが人の価値観や考え方、感じ方をどのように変えるのかに常に興味を持ってきました。多様な背景を持つ人々に囲まれて育ったことが、日本での新しい文化に挑戦し、異文化コミュニケーションや新しい経験を深めたいという思いにつながりました。

As a university student / 大学での学び

You may be wondering, what is interdisciplinary science and innovation? Simply put, it is a program that approaches global challenges such as sustainability and global challenges through creative problem-solving, collaboration, and communication across diverse fields. My research at Kyushu University delves into interdisciplinary studies between psychology and brain information science, exploring how portrayals of media content shape individual thoughts and perceptions. Even now, after completing my research, I have gained a profound interest in related fields, hoping to continue contributing to the ever-evolving landscape of international communications and connections.

「共創学部」とは何かと思う方もいるかもしれません。簡単に言えば、持続可能性などのグローバル課題を、創造的な問題解決力や分野横断的な協働・コミュニケーションによって探究する学問です。自分の研究は心理学と脳情報科学の融合領域に焦点を当て、メディアの描写が人々の思考や認知にどのような影響を与えるかを探っています。研究を通じて、国際的なコミュニケーションやつながりの重要性をより深く理解し、この分野で今後も貢献していきたいと考えるようになりました。

Motivation to start this internship / インターンシップへの動機

Connecting with people from different backgrounds has always been on my bucket list, especially with my love for travelling (especially after obtaining a driving licence). That is why tourism and entertainment resonate with me, as they create spaces where people can bridge new connections, share experiences and see the world through different lenses. Knowing today’s fast-growing travel culture and its interventions with global issues, I believe each of us has a role to play in contributing to the SDGs. Hence, through this internship, I aim to be not just a participant but a creator of work that connects people, leaving something meaningful behind.

異なる背景を持つ人々とつながることは、私の人生で常にやってみたいことの一つでした。特に運転免許を取得してからは、旅行の楽しさに一層惹かれるようになりました。そのため、観光やエンターテインメントの分野に強く共感しています。これらは、人と人が新しいつながりを築き、経験を共有し、異なる視点から世界を見る機会を生み出すものだからです。急速に変化する現代の旅行文化と、それに伴う地球規模の課題を考えると、私たち一人ひとりがSDGs達成のために役割を果たすべきだと感じています。このインターンシップを通して、単なる参加者ではなく、人と人をつなげる“創り手”として、意味のある活動を残したいと考えています。

My passion/interest / 情熱・関心

I have always been passionate about event planning and organisation, involving myself in student-led organisations for the planning of field trips and parties for both international students and local students during my time in university. I will admit planning can get quite hectic at times, but ultimately worth the trouble after hearing all the student feedback. Another great passion I have is learning Japanese, where I aim to be able to converse on a more native level, fully conveying the different nuances in the languages I speak. On the side, I also enjoy making things, be it crafts, baking or web designs. I especially enjoy quiet moments to myself, where I can listen to podcasts and crochet my latest project.

私はこれまで、大学生活の中で留学生と日本人学生が交流するイベントや旅行の企画運営に携わってきました。企画はときに大変なこともありますが、参加者の笑顔や感想を聞くと、すべての努力が報われるように感じます。また、日本語の学習にも情熱を持っており、より自然で深いレベルで会話できるようになることを目指しています。言語ごとの微妙なニュアンスを伝えられるようになるのが目標です。趣味としては、ものづくりが大好きで、手芸やベーキング、ウェブデザインなどを楽しんでいます。静かな時間にポッドキャストを聴きながら編み物をするのが、私にとって癒しの時間です。

Future vision / 将来の展望

In the future, I hope to continue working in a global setting, a place where everyone can easily voice their ideas and thoughts, in positions such as localizer and marketing, where I can utilise my interests and experience to encourage and emphasise the importance of exploring the world. I believe that learning never truly ends, and this constant pursuit of knowledge is what drives the world forward.

将来的には、グローバルな環境で働き、誰もが自由に意見を共有できる職場で活躍したいと考えています。特にローカライゼーションやマーケティングの分野で、自分の興味と経験を活かし、人々が世界をもっと身近に感じられるような活動に貢献したいです。私は「学びに終わりはない」と信じています。この絶え間ない知識への探求心こそが、世界を前に進める原動力だと思います。
